Solo Expedition #4

About two weeks ago, I decided to try out some glass painting with tracing black. This was after a fellow artist suggested that I might enjoy the process as it was similar to pushing around dust particles (which I am used to with charcoal on paper).

The process turned out to be quite similar to charcoal drawing though the pane of glass that I was working on was quite slippery and creating details and blending were a challenge. I finished the piece within a day but must organize to get it fired in a kiln before I can judge how it looks. This waiting period is not what I’m used to especially coming from a studio full of instant photography and drawings!

If this work is successful, i may include it in the exhibition and create another few as it is a relatively inexpensive and enjoyable process. I’ll post as soon as I have the piece back in studio after firing..
